Injectables

Injectables such as botox help prevent and improve the appearance of aging. We treat moderate to severe lines and wrinkles to give a healthy, youthful appearance.

Dermal fillers are natural products that are injected to restore volume and soften lines/wrinkles. Fillers are commonly used to enhance cheekbones, correct smile lines and add volume to your lips.

Chemical peels

Chemical peels can improve the skin's appearance. In this treatment, a chemical solution is applied to the skin, which makes it "blister" and eventually peel off. The new skin is usually smoother and less wrinkled than the old skin.

Chemical peels can be done on the face, neck, or hands. They can be used to:

  • Reduce fine lines under the eyes and around the mouth

  • Treat wrinkles caused by sun damage and aging

  • Improve the appearance of mild scars

  • Treat certain types of acne

  • Reduce age spots, freckles, and dark patches (melasma) due to pregnancy or taking birth control pills

  • Improve the look and feel of skin

Areas of sun damage may improve after chemical peeling.

After a chemical peel, skin is temporarily more sensitive to the sun, so wear sunscreen every day. It should say "broad-spectrum" on the label, meaning it protects against the sun's UVA and UVB rays. Also, it should be a physical sunscreen and be above SPF 30. Limit your time in the sun, especially between the hours of 10 a.m. and 2 p.m., and wear a wide-brimmed hat.

Microneedle (SkinPen)

Microneedling, also called collagen induction therapy, percutaneous collagen induction, involves the use of many small needles to puncture the skin. This creates a micro-injury and the body’s natural healing properties then begin to repair this injury with increase collagen and elastin production resulting in improvements in skin texture and resiliency.

Laser rejuvenation with Palomar Icon (Cynosure)

The Palomar Icon (Cynosure) combines a fractional laser (similar in intensity to the Fraxel re:store) and intense pulsed light (IPL) technology. There are a variety of handheld attachments to perform different types of treatments, including wrinkle reduction, hair removal, acne and scar improvement, fractional skin resurfacing, vascular and pigmentation treatments, and photorejuvenation (IPL). Since the machine has such a wide range of capabilities, it can provide different levels of treatments and meet various comfort and downtime requirements according to a patient’s needs.
